With the honor of carrying the Gazi title and embodying the first educational institution to train pioneer teachers of the Republic, it is the duty of our university to raise individuals who have an investigative, questioning and analytical mindset, who respect human values and who can lead society in changing world conditions. Our mission is to contribute to the lifelong education and development process of society by accessing, producing and sharing knowledge and turning it into action.
The Transplantation Center;
a) Determines the principles regarding tissue and organ transplantation within the scope of relevant legislation, scientific and ethical rules and ensures their implementation within the Gazi University health and research center,
b) Performs tissue and organ transplantation from living or cadaveric organs and ensures coordination with relevant centers at home and abroad regarding the supply of necessary tissues and organs for this purpose,
c) Participates in and supports studies such as research, examination and project production on all matters related to living or cadaveric tissue and organ transplantation at home and abroad,
d) Organizes national and international courses, seminars, conferences and congresses on living or cadaveric tissue and organ transplantation,
e) Provides lectures and seminars on living or cadaveric tissue and organ transplantation and encourages students to participate in these activities,
f) Conducts research and training activities on the procurement of tissues and organs from living and cadaveric tissues.

The vision of Gazi University is to be a nationally and internationally respected leading university with it’s high-level of education, creative activities, community service and original research in a wide range of fields from science and technology to art and sports.
In this light, our vision is supported with the organ donation campaigns that the center organizes, the rise in cadaver organs, which is the main source of organ transplantation and similarly with the programmed and periodic in-service training that we provide both inside and outside the hospital. Increasing the knowledge and awareness of the public and healthcare professionals on this subject will further increase our capacity.
Gazi University Transplantation Center shall become a world leading reference center. Our priority is to increase the number of in-hospital and out-of-hospital training to followingly increase organ transplantation from cadavers, which is low in Türkiye. Our aim is for the concept of brain death to be defined and explained to every unit dealing with health services while ensuring that the same issue is understood at the public level. It is our duty to ensure that the treatment services of patients seen in transplantation services comply with European standards.
We aim to provide the necessary infrastructure for physicians, specialist physicians and other health professionals to implement effective professional training in line with the developments and needs in the health sector at national and international levels and to plan and conduct scientific projects and publications that will contribute to the international literature in the field of medical science. The objective of our center is to be a preferred healthcare institution that uses advanced medical technology at regional and national levels. Our duty is to ensure patient and employee satisfaction by implementing evidence-based medical practices that comply with the principles of professional ethics and patient rights.
